Henri Lloyd autumn/winter 2013
Founded back in 1963 by Angus Lloyd and Henri Strzelecki, Henri Lloyd focussed on crafting the most water-repellent outerwear possible - an obsession that gained Strzelecki the catchy moniker “Waterproof Henri”. Fifty years later and the company is still at it, as can be seen in its latest collection for autumn/winter 2013. This season sees a range inspired by great explorers hitting the shelves, filled with warm waffle-knits, technical jackets and a particularly eye-catching weather-beating green parka. If you need further convincing, it’s worth bearing in mind that Henri Lloyd has kitted out some of the most prestigious British seafarers in the game, most recently Ben Ainslie, the most successful Olympic sailor in history. You don’t get a better advertisement for your brand’s water-repelling abilities than that.
